ANAESTHETIC WAS CAUSE OF DEATH.
OPERATION NECESSARY AFTER ACCIDENT. Per Press Association. HAWERA. June 15. The circumstances of the death of Clarence John Gray at the Hawera hospital on June 2, following an operation for the setting of his broken jaw, caused in a collision that afternoon at Eltham between the motor-cycle he was riding and a motor-car, were investigated at an inquest yesterday. The jury brought in a verdict that the anesthetic (not the motor-cycle accident nor the broken jaw) contributed directly to the death, and that no blame was attachable to the medical officers.
