HERTZOG MAY PACK SENATE WITH HIS OWN SUPPORTERS.
(Received June 15, 11.25 a.m.) CAPE TOWN. June 14. Five Nationalist Ministers, including General Hertzog, met at Pretoria and discussed the allocation of portfolios. Parliament is expected to meet on July 19. It is reported that General Hertzog has made up his mind to dissolve the Senate, and later to appoint eight men of his own faith. But this number would still be insufficient to command a majority to carry the native legislation he proposes.—Australian Press Association.
