CHRISTMAS CHEER REACHES COURT.
NINE MEET MAGISTRATE AFTER CELEBRATIONS. Nine men, who had been celebrating the festive season, appeared before Mr H. A. Young, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court this morning. All came in answer to the same charge:—“ That you were found drunk in a public place.” All were first offenders, and all left behind them amounts which would have helped to make Christmas a brighter institution. The fines ranged from 10s up to 245.
