GREATER OPTIMISM AT PALACE FOLLOWS CHEERING STATEMENT BY DOCTORS
(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December 21, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, December 20. THE FIFTH CONSECUTIVE BULLETIN reporting progress means in the official parlance that the King has taken another small step forward, and in consequence there is greater optimism at the Palace. Five doctors consulted at the Palace at 3.30 p.m. and issued the following bulletin:—- “ We are happy to state that the King’s progress is now more firmly established. His strength, breathing, lung and heart are slowly improving.” The consultation took place in order to survey the King's present progress comprehensively and to discuss the lines on which treatment in the immediate future should proceed.—Australian Press Association.
