BECKENHAM SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETS.

The monthly meeting of the Beckenham School Committee was held yesterday. all members being present. The head master reported that the average attendance had been 519 out of 560 or the roll. The attendance would hi vr been better but for the action of »h* Health Department in connection with the scarlet fever restrictions. Of Slit candidates, 53 passed the proficiency examination. 1 gained an endorsed competency pass and 2 competency passes. Of the 3 who failed 1 boy had only bsen at the school for a few waska A. hearty vote of thanks to Mr V. C. Peters for his services in connection with school choir was passed and the fcflvh standard of the concert recently arraiffed by him was commented upon. It WOa decided to hold the picnic at Mot|lkarara on February 14.
