NEW OWNER SAW HIS HOUSE BURST INTO FIERCE FLAMES.
Per Press Association. ROTORUA, December 20. Fire destroyed the suburban farm homestead of Mr R. D. Makgill last night. Mr Makgill recently bought the farm of Mr Harold Hardcastle, and during the day had taken in all his furniture and household effects. While he was at Mr Hardcastle’s house, half a mile distant, the new owner saw his house burst into flames. Nothing was saved. Much valuable personal property, silver and wedding presents, were burnt. The loss is very heavy.
