GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL TO HAVE GAMES MISTRESS.
~ ■" The Canterbury College Board of Governors met yesterday afternoon, present—Colonel the Hon C». J. Smith (chairman). Sir R. Heaton Rhodes. Drs John Guthrie and J. Hight, Messrs W. A. Banks. W. Brock, J. J. Dougall, J. R. Montgomery, A. E. Flower, C. T. Aschman, 11. D. Acland. Mrs W. 11. Clark and Miss E. A. Chaplin. The High Schools and Hostels Committee reported that applications were being invited for a drill and games mistress for the < 'bristrpurch Girls’ High School at a salary o! £2OO per annum, rising to £250 in two annual increments, and that arrangements for the Avonside School were being postponed until the roll-number was ascertained at the beginning of the year. Miss M’Clurg was being asked to carry on these classes in the meantime. The report was adopted. The College Committee reported having received a report on the 192 S spring camp held at iianmer Springs in connection with the Canterbury College School of Forestry. The report was adopted.
