LODGE MEETING.

The Pride of Christchurch Tent met on Monday. Chief Ruler Brother A. Gray presiding over a lair attendance. The officers for the ensuing half year, who were elected at the previous meeting were installed by the District Depute Ruler. Brother Cl. 11. Bascand, assisted by B.C.R. Brother Walker as installing Levite. The Tent’s new Chief Ruler, Sister A. Pvcroft, then occupied the chair. In returning thanks for her election, she briefly outlined certain alterations in administration at the tent meetings that she proposed to carry out during her term of office, and which she thought would help towards the more efficient running of the_ tent meetings. Brothers C. H. Bascand and H. Calvert were elected the tent’s representatives on the United Medical and Hospital Board. A hearty vote of appreciation of the very satisfactory and regular manner in which he carried out his duties was passed to Brother G. Spiers, who, for the last three years, has been one of the tent’s delegates to the United Medical and Hospital Board. Brother Spiers reported favourably on the children’s Christmas party given by the tent to its two juvenile tents, Tawera and Whakarora. The Chief Ruler referred to the serious illness of his Majesty the King, and expressed the tent’s wish that his Majety would make a speedy recovery.

Before the tent meeting closed the National Anthem was sung.
