COMPLAINTS MADE TO COUNCIL OVER DANCE HALLS AND PATRONS.
“ The committee regrets to have to report having received complaints regarding two dance halls and the conduct of patrons attending same,” stated the By-Laws Committee in thecourse of its report to the City' Council last night. The report continued: “ The persons interested in these dance halls were interviewed by' the committee at its last meeting and warned that, if further complaints were received regarding the conduct of patrons, the committee would have to consider seriously' the question of cancelling the licenses. The representatives undertook to give closer supervision to dances in the future and the committee decided that pass-out checks were not to be issued, parking of motor-cars and motor-cycles was not to be allowed in the vicinity of the halls, and that the dances should conclude not later than midnight.” The report was adopted.
