WELCOME TO THE ALL BLACKS.
The Canterbury Rugby Union and the combined football clubs gave a very enjoyable ball, last night, at the Winter Garden, as a welcome to the All Blacks. Several of the famous team were present. The committee responsible for the arrangements were Messrs J. K. Moloney, W. S. Seed, R. R. Masters, F. Taylor, R. Brittan, G. Munson, S. Godfrey, J. O. M’Gillivray, W. Chapman, F. Petre, J. Alexander and S. Hollander (honorary secretary and treasurer). Margaret Middleton’s orchestra supplied excellent music. The supper tables were gay with crimson rhododendrons and ranunculi.
