INSURANCE SOCIETY HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING.
The second annual meeting of the S.I.M.U. Insurance : Association 5 was held to-day. Mr W. R. Carey, chairman of directors, presided,. and there were also present:—Messrs W. T. Ritchie, W. 11. Orbell and E. A. Scott (Timaru). R. A. Malcolm (Qamaru), W. Wright (Dunedin). J. S. Dick (Invercargill), A. E. Ansell (Dunedin), H. Halliday (Dunedin), B. Falck. If. T. Harley, W. Manson. R. Browning, A. F. Carey, R. T. Tosswill, E. Eggleston, F. W. Freeman and J. L. Danks (Christchurch).
The annual report showed that the total funds at June 30 amounted to £B9BO, which, after placing £4094 to .reserve for unexpired risks, left a credit balance to carry forward of £3886. The report was adopted. Messrs Ansell and Minson were reelected directors, and Mr Tosswill was re-elected auditor.
