NURSING STAFF AT BOTTLE LAKE NOW TOTALS TWENTY-SEVEN
INCREASE due TO SCARLET FEVER CASES. The nursing staff at the Bottle Lake Hospital now totals twenty-seven, there being, in addition to the nursing staff, nine maids employed at the hospital. At normal periods the staff totals twelve, but the increase has been brought about by the increased number of scarlet fever patients. The staff at present and during normal periods is shown as follows: Present Normal staff. staff. Matron 1 1 Sister 1 1 Hospital nurses ...... 10 3 Hospital aids (V.A.D.’s) 12 7 Trained nurses (from Club) 3 0 Maids 9 5 Recently there was as many as 230 scarlet fever patients at the one time.
