MORRINSVILLE FARMER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL. Per Press Association. HAMILTON. September 26. A painful experience befell Mr R. M'Leod. a Morrinsville farmer. He felt a sharp sting behind his ear and quickly brushed off a spider. Mr M’Leod was mounting a waggon a few moments later when he was attacked with faintness and staggered to a seat in a store. His face became hot and swollen, a numbing sensation travelled down his right arm, and he was unable to see. He was removed to a Morrinsville hospital. Mr M’Leod has recovered sufficiently to return home. The bite had been inflicted by the ordinary variety of house spider fre quentiy found on windows. Medical men state that it is well known some persons are susceptible to the bite of the ordinary spider, but it is a rare occurrence.
