Y.W.C.A. HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Young Women’s Christian Association was held last evening, when Mrs G. J. Blackmore presided over a good attendance. The president, in reviewing the year’s orogress, said that the various departments had experienced a successful year, and a review of the activities showed splendid progress and achievement. The association’s activities were many and varied, and the energy and enthusiasm of the girls had been outstanding. The financial report showed a very satisfactory position. Receipts had totalled £5725, an increase of £276 on the previous year. Expenditure totalled £4865 and an overdraft of £660 had been paid off. The sum of £270 had been raised at the All Nations Fair, which had proved very successful owing to the splendid efforts of the girls. Reports showing a very successful year were received from the following committees;—Members’ Council, Chief Citizen (Girls’ Department), Finance, Lyttelton and Cafetaria. The following ofub reports were received:—Hostel, Haeremai, Merry-’uns, Charpi, Gaiety, Pollyanna, Old Members’ Council, and Revellers’ Social Committee.
