MR SIDEY ADVOCATES HALF HOUR OF SUMMER TIME AS COMPROMISE.
(Special to the “Star.”) WELLINGTON, September 25. Another attempt was made by Mr Sidey in the House to find out the Government’s intentions regarding the Summer Time Local Empowering Bill, in view of the select committee's recommendation that legislation be passed providing for a half-hour of summer time. Mr Sidey added that he believed such a measure would meet with very little opposition. “ I will be very glad to take the subject into consideration and forward a reply,” was the Prime Minister’s answer.
