LATE PERSONALS.

Lieutenant-Colonel E. If. Northcroft, D. 5.0., V.D., Regiment of New Zealand Artillery, has been seconded to the New Zealand Army Legal Department, as Deputy-Judge-Advocate-Gene-ral, and attached to General Headquarters Mr Richard Seddon CunJiffe died at his home in Fitzherbert Street, Petone, on Friday. The late Mr Cunliffe was born in Greymouth in 1866, and was a nephew of the late Right Hon R. J. Seddon. He served his apprenticeship on the Greymouth “Star,” after which he went to Wellington and was employed in the Government Printing Office. He was a past president of the Petone Working Men’s Club and held the office of past district president in the Druids’ Lodge. He is survived by a widow and one son (Mr R. F. Cunliffe, of Lower Hutt> and one daughter (Mrs J. O’Sullivan, of Auckland).
