MATCH AT TIMARU. (Special to the “Star.") TIMARU, August 23. The Canterbury Rugby touring team played South Canterbury here to-day in dull weather. D. Fairbrother and G. Lawson are absentees from the South Canterbury backs. The Canterbury players who are standing down to-day are C. D. Chesley, T. F. Mullan, J. B. Jackson and F. L. Clark.
