LATE PERSONALS.
Mr W. F. White, who has been appointed Indoor Assistant Traffic Manager of Railways at Christchurch, is at present on holiday leave. He will take up his duties about the middle of October. Messrs J. Herbert Mortimer (Harrogate Yorks) and D. H. Freeth (Wellington) are stavin ■ at Warner’s Hotel. Guests at the Un ted Service Hotel include: Messrs R. W Gollan, T. Carter (Wellington), J. Allan (Dunedin), and Alec Burt (Auckland) Messrs Godfrey Harper (Ashburton) and Captain Bell (Samoa) are amongst the recent arrivals at the Clarendon Hotel. The Hon A. S. Malcolm, M.L.C., the Hon M. Isitt, M.L.C., Messrs R. Hudson and C. G. White arrived from the north this morning.
