OLD J.K.A. IS BUT A ROSY SHADE OF PINK.
BY SINBAD. Old J.K.A. should know by now, that though large numbers in the land, to him their best allegiance vow, there are some things they will not stand. His Labour leanings they’ll endure —he’s not so Red as people think—in fact, by now they’re almost sure he’s but a rosy shade of pink. They know that his ideals are high, that he is anxious to be fair, but they will not stand calmly by and watch him monkey with the Square. The Tramway Shelter is a sight they often have complained about, but one thing made the folk sit tight —they knew that they could kick :t out But now, the Mayor a plan has got, which causes in the town a rift, to build a structure on the spot, that there’s no power on earth could shift. It in the balance hangs to-day. Let’s hope I’ll not my pleadings waste, when I appeal to J.K.A. to show cnce more his famed good taste.
