The vessel will also load for New York, Boston and Montreal. Cygnet should return here to-morrow from Wellington via Kaikoura. She will leave the following evening on the return trip. Regulus, on completing her loading yesterday, was dispatched for Nelson, Wesrtport and Grey mouth. Echo, in place of the Wairau, is due here to-day to load for Blenheim. Margaret W. is now expected here on Friday from Wellington to load for Thames, Tauranga and Whangarei. Wingatui, from Dunedin and Timaru, is expected here to-morrow to load for Wellington and Auckland. The vessel may make a call at Picton on her way north. Corinna should arrive here to-morrow from Dunedin, via Oamaru and Timaru, to load for Wellington. Nelson and New Plymouth. Manuka, from Dunedin, is expected on Friday, and sails the same day for Wellington and Melbourne. Kahika will load here on August 29 for Napier and Gisborne. Wairuna, from Los Angeles, via Papeete, Auckland and Napier, is due on .September 18, thence proceeding to Dunedin and New Plymouth. The new light to be installed in the Cape Egmont lighthouse will cost £1661, and the installation should be completed next February. It will be a triple flash, automatic revolving light, anrl will be the first, of its kind in New Zealand in that, the flash will be unused by the revoluti<yn of a series of lenses. The light will have greatei* power of penetration than the ordinary automatic flashing light. It is believed that a light of this class will overcome the difficulty said to have been experienced from the confusion of the existing lights with the other lights in the vicinity.
