TO BIASED SPORTS.

To The Editor. Dear Sir, —I would be much obliged if you would grant me a little space in your valuable paper, just to air my views to a few biased sports round about us regarding our friends the English League team. Now your paper states that the Englishmen started the rough stuff. Well, 1 beg to differ. According to your own reports on the game in Dunedin you first state that a New Zealand player was cautioned early in the game. So much for that. We extend an invitation to these men to come and tour our country just the same as England invites the All Blacks. But what I want to say is this: Why isn’t the hand of friendship handed out to these visitors the same as it is- handed out to our All Blacks when they tour England? Why, I will tell you. Every man, woman and child welcomes New Zealanders at Home. Here, just the code which plays welcomes them. The others give them the roughest handling that could be extended just because this biased feeling exists against a different code, viz., the Rugby Union, which loves Chinese and Dagos before offspring from their own forefathers. Well, if that is sport and kindred feeling, I am in favour of no more visits from England of any code of sport. Let us play our own games and be satisfied.—l am, etc., SPORTEE.
