MEETING APPROVES DAYLIGHT SAVING.
Per Press Association. PAIiIATUA, August 21. A meeting convened by the Chamber of Commerce last evening, at which the Mayor presided over an attendance of seventy-five, passed a motion approving of the local Daylight Saving Bill and suggesting that a clause be inserted giving the local authority power to exempt any particular days from the operation of the Act. The Railway Department had previously sought information as to the local attitude.
