REFERENCE AT TRAMWAY BOARD.
The subject was brought before the Tramway Board again yesterday by Mr D. Sykes. “If we allowed a column to be placed in the centre of the scheme,” he said, “I do not think there would be any opposition from Mr Gould. That is the whole truth.” He added that Mr Gould should be a stage manager, and that the board should stand by the City Council. Mr J. Wood (chairman) said that the question having been referred to the Works and Traffic Committee it could not be discussed at that meeting. _________________________
