COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
On Saturday a very enjoyable evening was held at the home of Dir and Mrs Hansen, Madras Street, in honour of their second daughter, Muriel’s, twenty-first birthday. The room and tables were tastefully decorated with spring flowers. The cake, on which there were twenty-one kewpies, was also beautifully decorated. The usual toasts were honoured and the engagement of their daughter to James, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Bird, Spreydon, was announced. The evening was spent in singing, games and dancing.
