WHAT WENT WRONG?
To the Editor. Dear Sir,—What was wrong with 2YA last night? I was listening in to their concert, when the studio cut in and started a record on the second line of “ Annie Laurie.” That was all right for a while, but a few minutes later, in the middle of thai, beautiful song, "My Love is like a Red, Red Rose,’ the song was cut off abruptly and 3 noisy band item (half finished) switched on. Can’t these announcers watch their step a bit better? On Saturday, at jYA, Christchurch, the description of the inter-island Rugby match was cut into very abruptly, to switch over to edious repetitions from Riccarton, and Ahen Rugby came on again one had to wait for another score to find out whether the state of the game had hanged in the interval. And at half time the studio announcer cut Lancaster Park off before the Rugby man had given the half-time score. This is too amateurish. Is there another place in the world in which listeners pay so ’ igh a fee and get such poor service?— I am, etc., ANNOYED.
