BRIGHT PROGRAMME FOR NEW OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT.
A bright programme will be presented at the New Opera House this evening by George Ward’s Snapshot Revue Company and Dave Meredith and his Melody Five. They will present a host of new items and novelties, including a sparkling revue entitled “The Vamping Widow.” It is a clever comedy, full of merriment and variety, gorgeously staged, and containing striking scenes and novel items. Abounding with laughter and humour, it is sure to amuse, and the excellence of the dancing and singing lends it an added attraction. Dave Meredith and his Melody Five have a host of popular musical num-
bers in their repertoire, including “Ramona,” “Drifting and Dreaming,” “Shanghai Dream Man,’’ “Ice Cream.” “Put Your Arms Where They Belong.” “She’s Got It,” and “Mighty Lak a Rose.” As played by these skilful instrumentalists, jazz takes on a new meaning, and becomes music well worth listening to. Theatregoers are promised a bright and breezy entertainment from the rise to the fall of fhe curtain. The box plans are at The Bristol Piano Company.
