COIN AFTERNOON HELD AT NAZARETH HOUSE.

On Sunday afternoon, at Nazareth House,, a very successful coin afternoon was held in aid of the building fund of that institute. The spacious hall was Ailed by a very large gathering, the special attraction being a concert programme presented by a number of artists from “The Student Prince" ,company. These artists had sacriflced their wellearned day of rest in the interests of a worthy cause, and through their kindness and their charity the building fund has been appreciably augmented. Items were given, by Messrs Reg .Lawsqn,' Edward Keene. ■ Joseph Holmes,-Victor Ilains, Mr and Mrs Conningham and Miss Nellie Judges. Miss K. O'Connor was accompanist and-Mr Finn was announcer. ; On behalf, of the Sisters of Nazareth, the I£ev Father M’Guire returned thanks, both • to the audience for their support and to the artists who so willingly ‘came 'to assist and entertain. Mr Conninghan, in replying, said the performers took special delight in lending their assistance in any such charitable cause. Before the gathering dispersed the artists and the audience were entertained to afternoon tea by the sisters. During the afternoon Father M’Guire anounccd that a cable had been received sanctioning the commencement of the new wing, and that building operations would start immediately. A suin of about £20,000 is required.
