GRAND NATIONAL WHIPPET MEETING ATTRACTS CROWD.
To-day followers of whippet racing were attracted to the New Brighton racecourse, where the annual Grand National Stakes were contested unrlcr almost ideal conditions. The whippets were in splendid condition and the racing was very close and exciting. Good times were recorded in every event. Results: — WINTER CUP, 200yds. First Heat—J. R. D.
