WILDING MEMORIAL LECTURE.
Professor R. S. Conway. Fellow of the British Academy and Professor of Latin in the University of Manchester a scholar and author of high reput has been engaged bv tb« Board. - Governors of Canterbury College to deliver the Wilding Memorial Lecture for 1928. Professor Conway is taking as the subject of the Wilding Lecture “The Chivalry of Vergil." and will compare the ideals of Vergil and his times with those of to-day in respect of the position of woman in society. The lecture, which is free to the public will be given in the Canterbury College Hall on Monday, August 20, at 8 p.m. ___________
