PRICES MAINTAINED AT WOOL SALES.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received May 19, 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 18. At the woo) sales, 9856 bales were offered of which 5346 were Australian and 2072 New Zealand. There was a good selection of merinos, but a limited supply of other sorts, being mostly reoffered lots.
Good general competition was recorded. and late rates were maintained. Clips sold as follows: “ Waverley,” 35d (top), 34Jd (average); “Saint Peters Pass,” 29d and 28d;‘ “ Rose vale,” 49d and 45*d; “ King Diamond,” 21&d and 21d; “ Teviotdale,” 26d and 24id; “Gerard,” 30d and 2Sid per lb.—Australian Press Association.
