SCHOOL PICTURES SEEN BY BOARD.
APPROVAL GIVEN TO EDUCATIONAL FILMS. Members of the Canterbury Education Board attended a private screening last night of the first series of films intended for exhibition to school children, and at to-day’s meeting, spoke enthusiastically of the quality of the films.

Mr R. H. Wild stated that he was opposed to any pictures screened outside the control of educational authorities, but through the inability of the latter to screen them, he was in accord with the scheme. He had seen the pictures, and approved of them. The films, arrangements for which are in the hands of Mr H. Gladstone Hill, will be shown in the Municipal Concert Hall.
