CANADA EXPECTED TO ACCEPT KELLOGG PLAN.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) OTTAWA, May 17. Canada is expected to accept the proposed Kellogg treaty for outlawing war, but it is stated that so far no formal invitation to adhere has been received. The British Government outlined the proposals and asked for the views of the Canadian Government but Canada has not received a formal invitation to adhere to the treaty. When the invitation is received the point will arise: How then can Canada give adhesion? Will she sign as a British dominion or sign later as one of the smaller powers A Washington message says that reports that separate treaties are likely to be negotiated with the dominions have created surprise there, as there has been no invitation of the kind.— Australian Press Association—United Service.
