A BIT CRAZY.
“ They seem to have gone a bit craay on tours,” remarked the chairman, Mr J. W. Norr : e, at a meeting of the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union management committee in referring to the New Zealand Union’s proposal to send a team to Australia this year. He considered it farcical to endeavour to send two New Zealand representative teams abroad in one tear son. Mr W. O’Neill pointed out that the absence of leading players on such a tour would probably upset club and interprcvincial football. Mr N. A. M’Kenzie suggested that the union should inform the New Zealand Union that it viewed the proposal with disfavour, and this was decided on.
