LONGEST NON-STOP RUN RECORD MADE ON ENGLISH RAILWAYS.

(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) RUGBY, April 28. The London, Midland and Scottish Railway yesterday established two new world's records for the longest non-stop run. Two expresses travelled from Euston Station to Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively, distances of - 401 J miles and 3991 miles, without a halt. Thus they passed the company’s own previous record of 299 i miles, from London to Carlisle, on the same service. These record runs involve in both cases two immense climbs—over the Shap Summit, in Westmoreland, 900 feet up, and Beattock Summit, in Lanarkshire, 1000 feet up.—British Official Wireless.
