May 1 Daphne Jean Stanton, aged twenty, married, but whose husband was stated by her to be in Sydney, was sentenced to 12 months' Borstal detention to-day for obtaining two frocks, a skunk stole, a handbag, a bead necklace, a brooch and a hat, of a total value of £43 13s, from Abrahams, Ltd., by representing herself as the wife of a well-known
person in Kilbimie, and saying that she would pay by cheque. When recovered, the goods had depreciated by several pounds. She was admitted to
