GANG OF LARRIKINS FROM CHRISTCHURCH.

RAIDED MOTOR-CARS WHILE AT HUTT PARK. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 30. Robert John Armstrong, Frederick Spender Sams, William Edward Black, Andrew M’Guire, and Robert Crawford, five youths who came up from Christchurch the other day, went to the Hutt Park trots on Saturday. They had very little money, and this was soon exhausted. They then made the rounds of motor cars, taking aerated water, food, beer, a tumbler and a serviette, the whole valued at £1 4s. The police said that accused appeared to be a gang of larrikins. Sams and Armstrong, whose parents had made arrangements for them, were convicted to-day and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months. The others were remanded for sentence on Thursday. An order was made against each for the payment of 6s within fourteen days.
