Lady Findlay left Christchurch thi: morning: for a brief visit to Dunedin.

Mrs W. A. Fla veil, of Dunedin, left for the West Coast this morning after a brief stay- in Christchurch.

Mrs Eden Shand, Kohonga. returned to the south this morning, after a brief stay in Christchurch.

Mr and Mrs R. Actcn-Adams returned to Dunedin this morning from Christchurch.

Mrs Leonard Banks (Shirley), who has been visiting England, is returning to Christchurch next week.

Miss Margaret Adams, Fendalton, will leave Christchurch this evening for Wellington. Mrs Edgar Reay, Armagh Street, is spending a short holiday with relatives in Palmerston North.

Miss T. IL Fantham, of Nelson, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs J. Philp, Knowles Street.

Miss N. M’Gregor, of Milton, has been spending a few days with Mrs W. Mitchell. Northcote Road, before leaving on an extended tour abroad.

Mrs IT. E. Button (Cashel Street, West) returned yesterday from a holiday spent at Palmerston North and Wellington.

The engagement is announced of Indus, only daughter of Mr and Mrs F. C. Fantham. of Nelson, and Charles, youngest son of Mr Edwin Clark and the late Mrs Clark, of Auckland.
