“DANCING MAD” IS FAST AND FURIOUS STORY OF PARIS.
Fast, and furious is the way to describe ” Dancing Mad,” at Crystal Palace. Tt epitomises the civilised world dominated by a craze for dancing, burlesques one. of the most marked fea tures of this wonderful age, wrestles with a problem of all the ages, illustrates the merry mood of these days, summarises modern manners, repro duces high life in notoriously gay Paris, diverts the mind, provokes mirth, and finally, bxit not obtrusively, teaches a lesson that should be learnt by young and old. The principal part is taken by Miss Maria Corda. an Hungarian girl, for whom the picture seems to have been made. Another aspect of modern life is dealt with in “ The C rvstal Cup." This is no comedy. It is drama of the most solid type. Life here is taken very seriously. As a matter of fact, it is a study in psycho-analysis, plays on the emotions, and goes into abstruse subjects deeply and sincerely. A special programme, specially acceptable. is played by the Symphony Orchestra.
