TWO MEN KILLED AT BLENHEIM.
Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, February 19. Shortly after midnight, a man named William Gay, single, a labourer, aged fifty-five, was killed on the Picton Road near Spring Creek, being rup over by a motor-bus driven by John Edward Hurbley, a taxi-driver, of Picton. The deceased crossed the road in front of the bus, which swerved to avoid him. The man staggered back and was hit by the radiator. A wheel also passed also him. Death was instantaneous. William Bennett, aged o£ Nile Street, Nelson, was injured while blasting at the Tinline Valley yesterday. He was admtted to hospital last night, and died at 11.25 this morning.
