“DIXIE FLYER” NOW AT QUEEN’S THEATRE.
• Railways and their personnel are always interesting. There is a glamour about a huge locomotive that attracts all, and the producer of “The Dixie Flyer” has done a wise act in basing the film on the lives of people who work on railways. The story is one that is full of interest. Tt tells of men’s devotion to duty, of a runaway train bearing the daughter of the president of the line, of demoniacal plotting and of a rnscue that would be hard to beat from the spectacular point of view. Of course there is the usual conflict between the forces of good and bad, without which no motion picture drama Is possible And, in the same manner, there is the ultimate triumph of good over evil John Wells takes the principal part In “ Clicking Hoofs,” the other main film on the programme. The story fairlv seethes with sudden action, while the horsemanship of the principal is wonderful to behold.
