PLOUGHING MATCH HELD AT RANGIORA.
Perfect weather favourer! t.ho North Canterbuiy Ploughing Match. which was held dt Rangiora to-day in a field belonging to H. Matson and Co on the northern boundary of the borough. There was a very largo attendance of farmers and others from all parts of the northern district and farther afield The ground, after the recent rain was In good conodition, but on most of the piois uie ploughmen were troubled by heavy growths of dry grass. There competitors, eighteen with horse teams and thirteen with tractora.
