AUCKLAND CONSIDERS SOCCER SELECTION IS MUCH BETTER.
(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND. July 15. The tenor of Auckland comment on the selection of the final test Soccer team is that Auckland and Otago each have four candidates, Wellington three, and Buffer and Canterbury one apiece. Such representation from a local viewpoint is considered much better than for last Saturday’s game, which was won by New Zealand without one Aucklander.
