RESPECT IS PAID TO OLD RESIDENT.

FUNERAL ATTENDED BY MASONIC MEMBERS. Members of Masonic Lodges, representatives of local bodies, and personal friends attended the funeral of the late Mr John Richardson, which left his late residence. 406 Papanui Road, this morning. The chief mourners were the Hon G. Witty. M L.C.. and Miss Witty. The pall-besrers were: Mr F. T. Wittv. Mr C R Witty. Mr A. Butler, and Mr G. Watson. The Rev John Miller conducted a service at the house, and. by permission of the Bishop, the service at the graveride. in the Ang’ican Church Cemetery, Woolston. The Rev A II Morris, PG. Chaplain, assisted by WM. J. B. Johns. St Augustine’s Lodge, No, 4, conducted a Masonic service Amongst those who attended were the Mavor (Mr J. K. Archer). the Town Clerk (Mr J. S. Neville). Air J. J. Graham (a former Mayor cf Woolston). Messrs J. R. Morrison (Kaikoura). J. W. Watson, G. TL Ker, J. 11. Walter, E. Freeman. J. Middleton, A. A. Locke. 11. Cotterill, A. F. Wright, Mr and Mrs Ivan Lamb. Messrs C. IT. Burson, A. Hunter, J. W. Beanland, W. M. Ilindmarsh, R. J. Round, J. N. Du Feu, J. W. Piper. 11. Sorensen, R. Ashworth. D. B. Ilalliday, F. J. Tattle, N. Jackson, F. J. Carr, C. Duff (St Augustine’s Lodge, No. 4, and Chapter). and T. Hopkins (Perseverance Lodge, Order of Oddfellows). Wreaths were sent by St Augustine Chapter No. 1, officers and brethren of St Augustine Lodge No. 4. North Canterbury District Manchester Lodge of Oddfellows, the Drainage Board. Mr and Mrs J.
