“BOTTLED SATISFACTION.”
To the Editor. Sir,—R§ a municipal milk supply. The Mayor (Mr Archer) says: “Take the bull by the horns.” Also he refers to “These reports.” What reports does he refer to? Our worthy bench does not find many offenders adulterating milk to any serious extent, especially as the Mayor point out, that the butterfat content is generally high. Why compare Wellington’s supply with that of Christchurch? Here the dairying districts are quite handy, whereas in Wellington the supply probably _ comes many more miles before distribution. Surely if people dislike milk dispensed from cans, they may patronise the bottled milk industry, which has so far been more than satisfactory. So why the tremendous expense of establishing a pasteurising plant?—Yours, etc.. BOTTLED SATISFACTION.
