AUCKLAND OWNER LOSES 1600 GUINEAS GELDING.
Pdt Press Association. AUCKLAND. May 21. During a working gallop at Ellerslie this morning Chamour (a chestnut gelding by Catmint—Loloma, three years), faltered. His rider dismounted and found a broken fetlock. The horse was destroyed. Chamour was purchased before the A.R.C. summer meeting by Mr G. Goldwater for 1600 guineas.
