INJURED CLERK GETS COMPENSATION.
A COLLISION WITH A CARRIER’S CAR. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND. May 21. A jury yesterday awarded £23 hospital expenses and £127 for loss of wages to Clement Archibald Ilulse, a clerk in the Forestry Department, who sustained a fracture of the base of the skull in a collision between his motor cycle and a car driven by Francis Alexander Blayney, a carrier. The accident occurred in November, since when Hulse has been totally disabled. It was stated that he would be incapacitated for a further five months. The claim was for £1076 in all.
