I M Shabin. former Bolshevik executioner, died in prison, having been recently sentenced to ten yeAi s gaol for embezzlement. Shabin m five years exceeded 500 executions. He was an expert shot with _ the revolver, with which executions in Russia are still carried out. The condemned man is stripped except for shirt. and is shot through the back of the head. 1
