WEDDINGS.

JACKSON—YARDLEY. A wedding was solemnised on Boxing Day at St Mary's Church, Addington, by Canon Bean, the contracting parties being Doris, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Yardley, Hillmorton, and Edgar, youngest son of Mr H. L. and the late Mrs F. Jackson, of Sydenham. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a smart tailored coat frock of mauve repp cloth made with a long shaped bodice and flared skirt.. She ■wore a pretty georgette hat of the same shade with Oriental under-brim, and carried a bouquet of mauve sweet peas and maidenhair fern. She was attended by Miss R. Wilkinson, who w r ore a pink floral ninon frock with hat to match. She carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas, roses and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr l’\ R. Jackson, as best man. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horse-shoe by \ her niece, June Belcher. The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. A wedding was celebrated at the Catholic Cathedral, Barbadocs Street, yesterday afternoon, when Annie May, daughter of the late Mr arid Mrs Hughes, of Melbourne, was married to Eric Matthew, only son of Mr and Mrs W. Piric, of Christchurch. Father P. C. Cooney, of Lyttelton, officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr F. Rooney, wore a gown of crocus mauve georgette made with a long vandyked bodice, the skirt shirred at the waist-line, and hem-bordered with a wide band of deep cream lace. A vestee on the bodice was also of lace and was finished with a buckle of brilliants. Her long hand-embroidered veil, arranged from a coronet of sequins, formed the train and she carried a bouquet of mauve sweet peas. Miss Rita llendren, Avho attended as bridesmaid, wore a dainty frock of pale lavender georgette, fashioned with a long bodice, a linely-pleated front panel on the skirt and a long cape collar of •radium lace to tone. Her hat of black crinoline straw had a wide flower mount at the back and her bouquet was of mauve and pink sweet peas. The bride- 1 groom was attended by Mr Allan Parker, as best man. Following the ceremony a reception ; was held, a few intimate friends and relatives being entertained. Mrs Piric, who was the hostess, wore a smartlycut frock of navy blue repp cloth, with a finely pleated patterned vest and cuffs, and a navy blue hat. She carried a bouquet of deep gold flowers and fern. When the bride left for her wedding tour she wore a frock of amethyst repp cloth trimmed with gold lace and a ; hat to tone. WRIGHT—VOICE. An evening wedding was recently solemnised at St Andrew’s Church, Oxford Terrace, when Vera Evelyn Voice, elder daughter of Mrs W. Wcndclkcn, was married to Alfred Edward, only son of Mr and Mrs A. E. Wright. The ceremony was performed by the Rev N. L. D. Webster, and Mr Wright presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr S. Oates, wore a frock of white satin maroeain, made on straight lines, with a finely pleated

front panel of georgette, and tiny sleeves of silk lace. Her embroidered tulle veil fell from a coronet of pearls and orange blossom. Silver brocaded shoes and stockings completed a dainty toilette. Misses Alma Voice, sister of the bride, and Ina Wendelken (Dunedin), who attended as bridesmaids, wore frocks of sage green crepe dc chine and champagne lace, with chain pagne shoes and stockings to tone. Their bouquets Avcrc of pink rosebuds and maidenhair fern, with pink and green streamers and they- Avore coronets of pearls and rosebuds. Mr Les Wendelkcn attended as best man, and Mr Les Odering was groomsman. After the ceremony, a reception Avas held at Beckenham Hall, where Mrs W. Wendelken, mother of the bride, received her guests in a grey silk maroeain frock with touches of blue and a smart grey hat with blue osprey mount. She carried a bouquet of blue delphiniums and cream roses. Mrs Wright, mother of the bridegroom, Avore a navy blue crepe dc chine frock Avith ecru lace trimmings and a navy blue hat with cream osprey mount. Her bouquet was uf red and cream roses. The bride travelled in a frock of delphinium blue and champagne, with a smart repp coat and champagne hat and shoes and stockings cn suite. Among the guests present were:- Mr and Mrs A.
