LAST SERVICES IN HISTORIC CHURCH.

The final services in the historic Scots Church on Church Hill, which is being demolished to make way for the city railway, were held yesterday. The church was founded by Dr John Dunmore Lang, and the first service was held in July, 1826. Amongst prominent Presbyterians from far and near was •the daughter of Dr Lang, and representatives of the other four ministers who, during the century, served the church. While the service was in progress the University Scouts regimental band assembled outside and played the Colin Campbell Lament.
