STEAMER AND MOTOR LAUNCH COLLIDE.
PASSENGER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL WITH INJURED BACK. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 28. The vehicular ferry steamer Mollyhawk and the motor launch Centaur collided off the Princes Wharf shortly after ten this morning. Fortunately before the impact occurred the Mollyhawk was nearly stopped, but . the launch was caught by the steamer’s stem and sustained damage to the port belting’and also- strained the hull. The launch contained about a dozen passengers, who were considerably frightened. William Alford, aged seventy--eight, was taken to the hospital suffering from slight injuries to the back. A young woman climbed on the Mollyhawk’s deck and fainted.
